Hi guys,
Today (Friday) is my last day here and tomorrow I will be going home, which I will probably already be when you read this as the wifi here got terrible so I will probably have to upload this from home.
I just finished my last four days on my internship and I got to go along in the Field Section. And I had such an amazing time there, the people on this section were so sweet and loving and open towards me and immediately joined me in, more than in the other sections. I worked with Karyn, Jackie, Debbie, Charlotte, Alex, Kelly, Tim and Miguel. It was so much fun, all the people were nice and we had lots of fun. It might be that it is the fact that this section contains the animals I like most like horses, goats, sheep, donkeys and chickens. Not specifically these animals but just the bigger breed of animal with much more personality than e.g. a guinea pig. But also the people made me love it, and being outside almost all the time. It gives me the chills to think I will be going home tomorrow because I loved it here so much but I am ready to go home as well. Although I wished they had put me in the field section earlier because I’d love to learn more about it. Maybe I will go back one day, but for now I’m going home.
The things we needed to do in Field Section were fairly simple but dayconsuming, so you would not have hours of doing nothing because everything is done, as was happening in the other sections. We had to feed all the animals in the morning, then clean everything out. Afterwards there was sometimes some time to socialise the animals but mostly we were still busy making up feeds etc. Then all the horses and donkeys (and other animals partially) needed to be gotten back in, pick their feet and then feed all animals that need feeding (some were on grass 24 hours a day so did not need extra food). All of this was done, but the funniest part was that the fields were quite a 15 minute walk or longer sometimes, so we took MUB. MUB was a small sort of golf cart, with a back we could get all the dirt in from the ramp and then empty it, it is called MUB because that is what it says in the license plate. Just like little things they had like “Angry Bird” which was a key chain with an Angry Bird key ring along with it, or Hello Kitty.
Over all I had a great time here with these people and have mixed feelings about going home.
I missed everybody so much but I know I will miss this as well and the experience I got cannot be taken away anymore. And maybe one day I will return here, for a small amount of time or even longer, I have no clue yet. But I am ready to go home now.

Sunday
So yesterday I flew home, it all went fine and when I arrived at the airport my parents and boyfriend were there to pick me up. They brought flowers and a balloon and were all so excited to see me, which was very comforting. We drove home and went out for dinner and I am glad to be home again.
Reading the update I wrote yesterday on my last few days I realise there is not much on the tasks and specific things I needed to do, so in my reflection update I will add more details on what I did and some more of the culture differences. But when writing things down I have so much to tell that I forget it all!
